When we purchased this property in early 2024, we knew we had found a special place—but we had yet to fully grasp the richness of nature in a natural park. Our initial focus was on restoring the buildings so we could welcome guests and share this incredible environment.

Monte da Silveira officially opened in August 2024, and now, as we look ahead, our next priority is enhancing the landscape. The final phase of our garden project is set for the second quarter of 2025, featuring low-water-consumption grass fields and native plants to preserve Alentejo’s natural beauty.

Living in Alentejo Litoral, where the sun shines 300 days a year, it would be a shame not to harness its energy. That’s why we’re installing 42 solar panels, ensuring Monte da Silveira runs on 100% solar power by mid-April 2025.

Nature as Our Partner

Sustainability is an ongoing commitment. To secure Monte da Silveira’s green future, we need to keep investing—but instead of turning to a bank, we decided to let nature take the lead.

We always knew there were some cork oaks on our land, but after clearing the overgrown bush and eucalyptus in September 2024, we were stunned. Over 1,000 cork oaks stood before us! That’s when we thought: Why not give our friends and guests the opportunity to “Adopt a Cork Oak”?
